The Urantia Book called me 1,000 miles from home to find it in a college library. I had never heard of it and felt tingling through my whole body when I spied it on a shelf. After reading for an hour, I knew I had to own it and have been reading and studying it for 35 years. That doesn't mean I fully understand all aspects of it, but I do find great solace and wisdom in its intelligently written contents and in the authoritative manner used in discussing all manner of spiritual conundrums and belief systems. It is, and has been, the foundation from which I compare the legion of other books I have read and studied, all having their own validity and viewpoints, from which I select the best and leave the rest. Truly a classic. Regarding the authorship, who cares as long as the Spirit of Truth comes shining through? The last 700 pages of "The Life and Teachings of Jesus" is without a doubt the most exhaustive and thorough biography on Urantia. The historical and overseeing perspective of the rest of the book is rightfully the context of Jesus' life and mission. Not for the faint of heart to face such a seemingly daunting book, but it is an educational experience unlike any thing I have seen before. A must for the serious seeker and lover of God.

I misunderstood the web site but feel the material was very informative. I do not have the time nor interest in reading the volume of data in this voluminous works. I thought I was going to receive a CD.
The hype on this particular piece far excedes the substance. It provides no real answers to those on a search for spiritual truth and utilizes a fanciful story along the lines of Star Trek to address the serious questions that eventually arise in our lives.
The Urantia Book is quite simply the most amazing book on Earth. Its power to inspire love and brotherhood among people is and has been unequaled since it was possible to actually interact with Jesus of Nazareth 2000 years ago.It is the complete synthesis of science, history, philosophy and religion that the world has long needed. It is the single most transformational event in my life of 63 years. It is the message that will begin the transformation of our planet into the place it was intended to be - a world dominated by love, peace, and brotherhood under the Fatherhood of God.
I purchased the Urantia book over 30 years ago, I have also looked into many other spiritual books and related subjects and spent countless hours reading them, nothing can compare with the Urantia book, it is in a class all by it's self. If you have that desire to find God and understand what your purpose on Earth (Urantia) is then read the Urantia book, you'll understand more than you ever expected.
