We got this for our 7 month year old twins and it's not been a hit.The flaps are an interesting gimmick but hard to use when you need one hand to hold the book and another to hold a baby. The text isn't that compelling, it's not fun to read, it's not clever, it's just sort of there.Maybe (maybe...) the girls would like it better in a few months when they're learning basic vocabulary but for now we'll be putting it aside.EDIT: What a difference a few months makes, the girls now love the book, pulling at the flaps (sometimes pulling them clean off) and touching the pictures.I still find it dull but they're the ones that matter and they love it.

I bought this book for my son’s first birthday. He absolutely loves lift-a-flap books. This one is pretty standard quality; same as other Karen Katz books if you already have one. My son will often force the page closed with the flap not completely down. So they do get worn in and bent after a while. There are lift-a-flap books on the market that have board book material flaps. This is not one of them. The biggest problem I had with this book is the content. It teaches the following body parts: fingers, toes, ears, nose, elbows, knee, back, belly button, teeth, tongue, and eyes. The author doesn’t make it very practical though. Example: “inside my mouth I’ve got... teeth.” As well as, “my coat protects my... back.” These are not sentences I would’ve used to hint at these body parts. I think “I chew my food with my.... teeth” would’ve been better for the child to learn this part of the body. This book is written by Marion Dane Bauer which could explain why this differs from the other Karen Katz books. My advice: I would probably skip this one. There are definitely better books that teach basic anatomy for babies/toddlers.

I have “where’s baby’s belly button “ and my daughter absolutely loves it so we purchased this book. There’s a lot going on in this one. It’s double sided so she loses focus on the flaps to pull up. Day 1 she ripped the flaps off the ears (which wasn’t hard to do because the flaps are quarter size and poorly put on there) I want to buy books from this author but this one was no good

My one year old grand daughter loves this book and she has many books. Yes, some flaps have torn, but they were torn with love and use and I think any child that enjoys the peek a boo type book would enjoy this one as well. She particularly likes the teeth and tongue flaps and I like the elbow and knee pages since you don't often see those parts mentioned.

My 11 month old granddaughter is getting ready to start physical and occupational therapy to help her catch up after an illness and surgery. I was looking for books that would help her - not only to just entertain her but help with this process. This is a great book for any young child and I am thrilled to find it for my granddaughter.

The book is cute, but printed really cheaply. I have toddlers who love looking at books, but will tear pages if given the opportunity and a book with thin enough pages. The liftable flaps are all very thin, like cardstock rather than the thicker board most baby books are made from. Why??? It cost as much as the board books we have that aren’t as “fragile”, so why the skimpy quality? Especially considering the age this is intended for... After only having for a couple weeks, this book is bound for the recycling bin-unable to hold up.

My grandson, age 15 months, adores this book. He has learned what is behind each flap, and points to his own ears, nose and fingers while reading the book. His favorite is the last page, where there is a "baby" under the blanket. For some reason he loves to say the word "baby." The pages are not paper, but a strong material that does not tear. A necessity for a child this young as he does not know how to be care of book ages yet. I'm very happy that I bought him this book.

Not as cute as "Where is Baby's Belly Button". The pictures are a bit on the ugly side, but the quality is great, which is why I gave it 4 stars (docked 1 star because we weren't nearly as pleased with this book).

Very cute board book. Bright, cheerful illustrations. Highly relevant concepts for my young toddler (body parts, clothes, getting dressed and undressed) and simple enough that she will happily "read" it to herself, naming the clothing items and body parts on each page and giggling when they're revealed.
